Saturday 6 March 2010

Still no interest from anyone wanting to buy this project. The sale deadline is end of March. After that we will finish it ourselves (if it hasn't sold).

As promised weeks ago, here are some update photos.

Front

Finished insulating the front ceiling.

Back

Also insulated the rear wall. Later Peter will need to make a little access hatch along the top to access the rear lights and mount the reversing camera. This access hole will most likely be hidden in the overhead cupboards.

Basically, the walls and ceiling are ready for the next stage. For the ceiling Peter is planning a framework to make it a flat ceiling (with a step). The walls require cladding (Peter will make the panels removable to route wires behind them). Likewise the ceiling panels will be removable so when we have the money for solar power, he can run the wires from them.

Middle

These are the temporary bunk beds for the kids. And Peter has made a wall template out of polystyrene.

Next, Peter is going to make the guardrail near the stairs.

Friday 5 February 2010

Peter finally managed to do some work inside the motorhome in the last week or so. A weekly update with photos comming soon. ;-)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Monday 7 December 2009

We have decided to sell the motorhome. Here is your chance to own a piece of history and finish this fine project.

The selling price is $160,000 ono. This is how much it has cost us so far, and doesn't include my five years of labour.

If you are interested please send me an email.
