I am just in the "want to do" stage and found your site, what an eye opener. thank you for showing all the hard yards. have got some great ideas from your photos. thank you and look forward to the continuation of the saga. Admin reply: Its been an eye opener for me too. If you are still in the "want to do" stage does that mean you are looking for a coach? If so, have we got a deal for you. Our project is for sale. We simply do not have the money or the time to finish this project. The lasts few years progress has been very very slow. Anyway, all the best with your motorhomering plans.

just viewed your web site, you guys deserve a medal, you must have so much determination, how do you keep going, doing all this with a family, that takes some doing, i would be divorced by now.. i think the bus looks great, you have done a major rebuild its amazing, i wish you all the best with finishing it or selling it, im about to start my own, but will just be doing a internal refit, best wishes d Admin reply: A medal or an insanity certificate? Thanks, yes it has been a great rebuild and we find it a great shame that we have run out of money to finish it. Very little time to work on it at the moment as our new baby is settling in. I think another week or two and I'll be able to spend some time on it to finish sheeting the inside. Then the inside will look fantastic, too. Good luck with your own refit - it is a lot of fun to do.

Missing the regular updates Admin reply: So am I. Currently our 4th child is due to be born any day. So we're sort of a little busy. Though I am hoping to continue sheeting the inside of the motorhome soon. And then there will be more updates.

Hi again how are you guys progressing, good I hope. Anyway I have been off work for 4 weeks recovering from a hernia op so have had time to do a bit on my project.Only been able to do fiddly bits but had a major sucess and removed the air conditioner off the roof. It has a nice smooth look now. It's amazing what you can do with a hi lift jack a ute and a large fig tree.

hi again I was just having a look thru the history pages and noticed something about your project that I have experienced with my project. When I finish this project I would like to do it again. I would on the next one build complete new side walls and do the roof lift as a single panel and that way you cut out all rust and can move the windows around. The second thing I would do is use a single fibre glass sheet on the outside walls. Gluing it on with sika or mastik or one of these products. I know that the fibre glass sheets are avalible from some of the truck body builders. Windows are then cut out and stuck in. The end result is a smooth clean side with no joints or lines. Yes I know it is scary planning the second one before the first is on the road. I am glad to see your project is making headway. Admin reply: That's right, We bought our 11+ meter white panel (on the driver side) from a fiberglass company that make these for coaches. They can make panels up to 14 meters long and 1.2 meters high. Which was perfect for our project. We are making some headway, slowly, but surely.

Just looking at thelatest update with the white sheets going up, thinking, wouldn't it be great to have some gold trim along the joins to hide them.. Admin reply: Umm, gold trim? You mean between the sheets or to cover the step (the face that has the lights)? Between the sheets will be a white H sheet joiner. And for the step I'm thinking of using a white L piece with a white translucent diffuser to cover the lights. But a gold trim may make for a nice contrast.
