88th month (October 2011)
This month Peter is continuing sheeting the walls.
Finished the front | It really sets off the window. |
The front walls are done. | Reached the centre door. |
Sheets reach the floor behind the dinette seats. |
Going to move the light switches.
|
The kids bunk bed area (and behind the cupboard) is covered.
These sheets are full length (2440mm).
|
There will be three beds here. The first one on the floor, then one below the bottom windows and the third between the four windows. |
The temporary shelves are back against the wall. The permanent storage space is about the same size as the shelves, but going to the ceiling. |
The original plans did not have a bunk bed on the floor, but
storage space. That's why there are no windows for the bottom bunk.
|
The main bed room
|
The entire passenger side wall is done. Well almost (there is the gap near the centre door) |
We are using an inner corner joiner. |
89th month (November 2011)
This month Peter worked a little bit on the back wall, until car and computer troubles took him away from the motorhome project.
Removed back wall insulation
|
Filled corner with expanding foam to add an extra layer of sealing. |
And the other corner, too. We aimed to have at least two air tight layers. The last thing we want is to have the diesel exhaust in the master bedroom. |
Having carefully filled the air gaps with foam, we replaced the 40mm insulation.
