Back on 24/7/07 I bought a 1978 Ansair Merc Benz 303 37` coach 240HP V8 4stoke Benz motor 6sp/box airbag suspension single drive from Crown Coaches out of Melbourne and drove it back to my home town in Bendigo Victoria , like yours after I had stripped the inside the dreaded rust popped its head up in the frame work, rust was bad in the back end so instead of patching it I just cut it all off and started , again , I have a current shape fiberglass back header to put on after I complete the 300mm roof lift and reframe the whole back end to suite the new header , I did the roof lift with the help of four hills hoist centre posts to lift it up ,worked great and cheap too , $15 from the local recycle centre for the four, the coach will have new windows fitted, and will be fitted out as a 4berth which I will do 90% of the work , I built a Mazda T3500 a few years back which is self-contained for free camping which I still own that we have had some great times in , I haven’t done any work on the Benz in the last 10mths as I had a work place injury but hope to continue soon as it comes good again.

Chris & Jenny

Chris and Jenny took two years on their conversion of their Austral Tourmaster. They have made two 12 months trips in Australia and they had "the time of our lives".

The following projects need an update, they are years out-of-date...

Kim & Tracey

Kim wrote that they bought their coach from Newcastle NSW about 12 months ago.

He wrote, To date, I haven't touched the coach (Other than a couple of family outings, and a few charters to the car races) as I've been doing a lot of planning and building a shed to house it for the process.

mine is a 1983 Denning/Mercedes Mono with a 6V92T, 6 speed spicer, full air suspension and brakes, highway diff etc.

Ian

Ian has started his motorhome conversion project after researching for 2 years. The coach he is converting is a Mitsubishi Fuso MS725. It is a 12 meter coach and has a v8 engine.

To date he has removed about 3.7 tons in weight!

As you can see, the coach is in his backyard and the neighbours started complaining after just 3 days.

Ian is going to start his own web site soon, and we'll put a link here.
